BIOGRAPHY
FLORENTINA MUNTEANU
Florentina Munteanu is a Melbourne-based, Romanian-born Australian artist.
Munteanu studied Art early, through an established young talent educational program in her country of birth, completing her education at Liceul de Arta Nicolae Tonitza Bucharest, before moving to Australia.
At age 21 Munteanu migrated to Melbourne and continued her Fine Art studies at Monash University where she was also teaching Drawing.
Florentina received numerous awards amongst which an Australian Council Grant, an Australian Postgraduate award and a two year artist Studio Residency at Gertrude Studios, Melbourne.
Her work is marked by a strong interest in perceptual painting exploring with various subjects.
